J.Pappas is an up-and-coming rapper, singer, and producer. Born in Pomona, California, but raised overseas in London as an expat. He now resides in Los Angeles. Growing up he listened to old school Hip-Hop, citing Nas, Q-Tip, and J.Dilla as some of his biggest inspirations lyrically. After discovering Jazz and Soul later down the line, he found compositional influence from Stevie Wonder, D’Angelo, and Miles Davis, His taste in music extends into all genres, incorporating tasteful elements of inspiration from anywhere it sparks.
With a discography that has earned over 3 million streams overall, there is certainly plenty of music to dive into. His debut album, “Chamomile” released in December 2020. Entirely self-produced it features smooth beats and arrangements that highlight his love for Jazz harmony and contemporary Pop and Hip-Hop music. The project features performances by rising singer-songwriter Lizzy McAlpine, and folk-duo The Thistle Brothers. In addition to the album, J.Pappas has released two singles in 2024, and is gearing up to release more throughout the year.
